OK folks

lets saddle up and mosey on the dusty trail (say it like John Wayne and it works).

So, anyone interested in a NW run to the Kiss rally?  I'm thinkin anyone from Wigan, Preston, Warrington, St. Helens, Liverpool, Manchester and anyone else along the route.

Last year i met up with peeps at the Raven in Whitchurch, but thats a bit like the wrong way :(

So i'm open to suggestions for a meetup and a route, taking in a few comfort breaks along the way.  My own personal preference would be to do the first stint on the motorway and then cut off after Crewe on the A500/Burton/M1 at Kegworth/A14 Kettering/Cambridge and A11 to Bury St.

Apart from M/way services, anyone know of some good biker cafs or similar; its a 4 hour ride (at legal speeds ofc) so we need a few stops.  Open to suggestions.

Cheers Ian

Thought i was gonna be billy no mates for a while there.  I'm working on a route to take in the famous Vic bikers pub along the way and trying to find an interesting route, only using motorways when necessary.  BTW, i mean to go down on Friday morning and my initial meeting up suggestion is Knutsford services for about 9am ish.

It should take us about 2 hours to get to the Vic which opens at 10am; we can refuel at the local Sainsbury's too.

Any other suggestions?

hi madscots   LMAO errrrrrrrr, where did Crewe come into it m8?  Don't think anyone mentioned Crewe but if somebody was from Crewe and wanted to join the ride, we could pick them up along the way, cos Crewe is not far from our route!   Anyhoo, i counted 12 people from the NW who are going to KISS and another half dozen who we could meet along the way from places like Stoke, Burton etc   I personally dont want to do the whole motorway thing so i have a route proposal, as follows:   Meetup at Knutsford Services South on M6 to J16 A500 to Stoke A50 to Burton A511 to Ashby de la Zouch A50 to Coalville BREAK stop at the famous Vic Bikers Pub for mid-morning lunch A50 to M1 at J22 South on M1 to J19 A14 to Cambridge (have a comfort break somewhere near Kettering) Continue to Rally site   Total 215 miles  aprox 4.5 hours   Or do the motorway route in 3.5 hours.   Cheers   Duke

Glad to have you all along.  Yeah Vrod, np, just check the route from page 1 and see where you would need to refuel.  Or we can hire a tanker to run alongside you with a siphon tube lol.  Bit like tankers aren't they...harleys.......sniggerLOL
