just bought the trilogy,trying hard to save it for my holiday,heard lots about it though.                                                                                                                                                                             

All the ladies in our office are reading this book, some already nearly finished the 2nd book.

Wow Susie, that's some will power you have but once you start reading them you can't put them down. The only thing I will say is... check out how many times she says "oh my"    When is the film due out Ray? Lay on my bed having an afternoon rest with my daughter the other day.  My niece came into the room & picked the first grey book up from the side of the bed... she said im going to open it at a random page and see what the fuss is all about..... Then went on to read outloud a few passages.... pretty embarrasing stuff hearing my niece say things i never though or imagined i would hear her say....  Now Sinead promise me you will never say or do those things to any boy you go out with ok!!

Well at the risk of being controversial (never worried me in the past actually so not going to change now)  
50 Shades.....It's porn for women, which of course means its liberating and not Pervy!  Not sure the climate was right, had it been published 20 even 10 years ago, methinks anyways.  But there has been lots of risqué things in the past written by women for women and not to satisfy the mass male marketplace.  A few that spring to mind are ‘Silk’ (cannot remember author & have been hunting for the copy that was given to me by a Chinese girlfriend years ago – which is a Chinese erotic classic),’One hundred strokes of the brush before bed’ – Oh Yeah Baby!, ‘Secretary’a movie which is out there on the edge and last but not least Nancy Friday who wrote about women's sexual fantasies because in them days (late 60’s) it was taboo and common belief (by men that is)  that women didn’t have sexual fantasies  - comment required girls????    (that’s from Wikipedia by the way - I do get out a lot in case you were thinking ‘what planet is he on?’)  
Don’t know about you guys out there but in my experience ladies fantasies are much more intricate, complex, sensual & erotic in comparison to most blokes I know, which are pretty much centred in other places than the mind ........which has its place don’t get me wrong !  But to be the leading male in a raunchy ladies fantasy would get my vote every time
