So if leather is not waterproof why don't cows leak ?

Ha ha, good question JP.

I guess it's because cows aren't covered in leather, they're covered in skin, which is a living layer kept waterproof by natural oils or whatever.

But, remove the blood supply and it dies and then dries out and becomes leather.

Or something like that .... probably lol!
