Just gonna take the bike out for an evening run: ironically to visit a pensioner friend of mine to see if he's warm enough!! Just been down to the garage....I think I'll stick the thermal liners in.

Just returned home.... just about freezing outside. Never ceases to amaze me how warm modern bike clothing is, compared to my old wax cotton Belstaff of 20 years ago.
However, I have never yet had a pair of gloves that didn't produce numb fingers! Worthy examples anyone?

Glove wise I have some richa winter gloves, they are great till you take em off, and the thermal lining sticks to your hand and turn inside out. but warm,,,yes very.

Thanks piggyman.
How do they hold up in the wet weather?
I have found that wearing the winter gloves is a trade off, as it starts to get awkward to moving around the controls, especially getting to the front brake lever. In the end I cover the lever with 1st two fingers, then end up with cramp in the hand (around town).

Last Christmas, manoeuvring through a 17 mile stationary traffic queue for the Dartford crossing, I thought my hand was beyond recovery....PAIN or what! What I needed there was a throttle clamp so that I could change grip, without the bike shutting down. Otherwise, dip the clutch, freewheel and play bongo's on the tank!

@ TLC69 The Cotswold must have been great for the scenery and the twisty roads! I haven't ridden there, only passed through in the car. Probably better on a warm summer's evening?
