Interesting to see that's it unanimous regarding Metzler, me too, they are shite, had them on a Thunderace and took them off well well before they were due to (never ever have done that before, they stay on till they are worn and then I change), replaced them with Dunlops ... bloody brilliant on that bike.
Ran Continental Road Attacks on the ZZR1100's and ZZR1200, very good tyres, and they lasted much more than my usual 3000 miles (rear), the rear did nearly 5000, first time I've ever done that mileage
Got the original BT014's on the ZZR1400 at the moment, done about 1500 miles on them, love them in the wet, lots of confidence.
When its warm I don't think it makes a huge amount of difference what you have on ....... as long as you feel ok with them and you get the suspension set up for you and your riding style.
