My brother has a sidecar and would lke to know where the law stands on the wearing of helmets on passengers in the sidecar anyone know the facts?

From the BMF website: "A sidecar driver and pillion passenger must wear a helmet but sidecar passengers do not require a helmet."

ok, found this on a motorcycle training website: Passengers in a side-car don't need to wear a helmet if the sides of the car are over 18inches / 457mm high.
