Chopping hands off might be a bit extreme (hark at the voice of moderation) - but as I understand it, it is rather difficult to operate the clutch on a bike if all the fingers on your left hand are broken...

Not meaning to dampen your friend's spirit further CG but the bike was probably in bits, or on its way to a 'customer', before she had chance to report it to the cops.   It has been known for folk to get their bike back so I'll keep my fingers crossed for her.

Clutchless changes are poss if you are a reasonable rider Wink lol Kwak is on the money though bigger bikes are mostly are stolen for parts (difficult to assume someone would nick a pink bike to order though) having all the plastic panels/tank painted in non std colours may put off some theives, then having them resprayed/stickered is not as cost effective as nicking a std colour Unhappy would be helpful if we all could see a piccy up!

Hopefully it's a scallywag joyrider and you will get it returned.   My custom got stolen once from one of the busiest roads in Leicester...Course no one saw a thing apart from a yellow Pug pick up....that was enough for the Police, two days later they rang me at work to say it had been found with just the ignition and headstock locks broken.   I had to fetch it from the tea leafs house!.........Mind you now I know where the shite livesThumbs Up   So if you know a biker in Bonny Rd Leicester.....it may be a thief!   I can remember his wife (or GF) coming back when me and the police were recovering all the bikes in his garage, she just walked past laughing............I don't tollerate violence towards women but she nearly got it that day!

Just thought I would let you know the latest on my friends bike, this is what Ladyblade put on another site     UPDATE Ive had 2 phone calls off the flyers ive handed out, just returned from the police station, The descripition is lad 18/19, olive coloured skin, have a name((Im happy to PM his name)) and found out where his sister works, One shop keeper went into the shop where his sister works and gave them a flyer, with me adding REWARD etc, hoping this lad is desperate enough to be needing the money. hes seen around the shops on my bike btween hrs of 16.00 and 17.30hrs, Hes well know for stealing scooters and never been known to take a bike like Penelope, he is well known to the local police for other index offences, and they hoping to get him on something else, then approach about Penelope.all the shop keepers have been fantastic and as soon as hes around they are phoning the number immediately.Sadly hes up rooted before we have got there. It wont stop me and Bungle going out at night, and acting like asbo's lol, dressing up has a new meaning pmsl, Youu've gotta laugh Smile   more updates Just to say I had a phone call of police 07.00hrs this morning to say theyve found my bike, and the lad I'd been describing with it, Im just waiting a phone call as the lad is down the cells and recovery is on its way to Penelope for finger testing. Will update as and when. Can i also say thank you to you all for being so supportive and distrubing the flyers Id sent Ive been and seen Penelope and shes not very healthy. She dont make a good offroader either from the looks lol, Not sure until I get her back after Police have finished with her and finger dusted her level of damage to engine, cosmeticaaly repairable i think Check out http://ladybladeshalloffame....et/ Cheers guys for support x If you look through the pics on this site you may even spot me on a few of them. The 1066 St Georges day for instance
