Sorry to hear about it at this time of year...Good luck in your job hunting...Derbyshire is a bit far away isnt it, or I would look for you... Just a thought, why dont you check on the Internet...use Google to search for agencies, job vacancies etc...GOOD LUCK

fbk if you have a tesco distrabution place near you they are always looking for hgv drivers especaily this time of year. Also try job centre on line. Hope this helps a little bit mate good luck

Have a look at www.jobsite.co.uk I have found a few good contracts from this site. I have been in the same situation as you. not a good position. hope ths helps.

Bad news FBK! My other half had the same thing happen and he signed on with a driving agency. Pay was lower than he was used to but he was working every day from the day he signed on & ended up driving for Ikea & Argos thro' the agency, then got taken on full time. We're in leics but there were agencies in Northants and further south crying out for drivers. The other option is to put your CV on appropriate sites on NET. He did that too, but most of the offers were too far south for him...suit you tho'. Hope it helps & good luck!

fbk there is loadsof ageny work at the moment if u have class 1 not so easy if ur class 2 a local ageny near u should keep u busy every day atthe moment i work for one in peterborough and havent stopped since june

had an interview today , ok you all will laugh when i tell you what it was for , working in a brewery delivering kegs ( etc ) . ok now you can all have a good laugh and say how many will get delivered and how many will i drink ..... cheers will try that agentcy tomorrow . thanks all
