What? ST CHADS AND QUEENSWAY TUNNELS Why? The tunnels are over 40 years old Require refurb to meet Government safety standards Regs state that all tunnels must be upgraded by April 2014 When ? Tunnels close at 22.00 on 19th July 2013 Tunnels re-open at 06.00 on 2nd September 2013 Timed to coincide with the school summer holidays Overnight closures 22.00 - 06.00) 4 weeks prior and 2 weeks after
