A mate's just bought an RD 350 (74) making me all nostalgic TBH I had a 250B in 75, probably one of the bikes I had that I enjoyed most.
Still about it seems but SORNed for the last couple of years.

Favourite all time looking bike, that I never got to own, was the Suzuki Katana. Still look good today, if you ever see one.
I never bought one though, because I've never been into race spec, head down and arse in air stuff. More custom and classic for me, but maybe I should've put that to one side and delved 🤔
All time fave is one I used to own and wish I'd never sold. So cute, compact and full of character. My seventies Yamaha SR 500 single. Used to have a compression lever, but I never bothered with that. Just jumped on the kickstart, from TDC and hoped I didn't get a kick back. Was a real ratter. With its Red n Black paint work, intermingled with rust and dents. Loved it 😁👍😎

You can still an SR albeit in 400cc guise and not cheap.
What Yamaha should do is re-release at XT based on the SR400.

Out of collosal curiosity I’d love to try that Vixen(?) three wheeler thing from Yamaha. Just to see what it’s like. Thoughts of the back end spinning as you drift out of traffic islands seems like a whole new unopened box of fun. Don’t care if it upsets the luddites, it’s new and I want a go!

@Steve
Looked at the 400, but not sure about a purchase. Needs more study and money 😁 Maybe a good retro way to go. But would prefer an original seventies 500.
Aka, bringing back the XT, good idea. What about the lovely Yamaha XS 650 twin too. We could go on and on here though, with past classics 🤔

The new Enfield 650 Interceptor looks sweet, but I'm not sure about the Continental, the seat just looks so wrong.

They had a load of them at Box Hill on a Demo Day a little while ago. People were going out on them but you couldn't rag them, cos they'd stop you and ban you from any other Demo Day. The people running it do it for the industry appparently, so a ban from riding the 3 wheeler on that day will mean a ban from all their other Manufacturer Demo Days. Once they told us we would be escorted and lead as a group I lost interest in riding one.

Still got the hots for an aircooled RD, but recently the bike that caught my eye (Not in a good way.) was the FTR 1200 Indian.
The bike that inspired it was the gorgeous flat tracker apparently.
Well, they've managed to f*ck it up completely IMO!
