Hi Matt,

Received the "Events is live" email and have just checked it out.

Well done - it looks great, especially the expanding on mouse-over action (and that's using Opera).

I didn't see this Forum thread till just now, so here is my suggestion for the "Categories". As some might know I'm involved with the local Advanced Motorcyclists group. I can't see a Category to advertise either our annual Open Day (15-July last) or to advertise our or similar monthly meetings (we don't meet at a pub/cafe. So how about a "Club Monthly meeting" or similar Category?

The only other suggestion is to add the day or the week to the Calendar date, or to make the background for weekends different (when not hovering the mouse over the day). Think that these will help users/members to focus on when to have fun on our bikes.

I think those new ones are probably OK Matt, though I feel a bit conspicuois now. :-)

The full list, with my comments, is:
Advanced Riding Meets
Bike Shows/Exhibitions - covers all indoor shows
Biker Rallies/Festivals - covers all outdoor shows
Club Meets - covers owners clubs etc
Dance Events
House Parties - I assume this is for "private" parties
Informal Gatherings - guess for ad hoc get togethers
Pub/Cafe Meets - not sure how this & Informal differs
Racing Events - for watching
Ride-Outs
Rock Gigs - how does this differ from Dance Events
Speed Dating - seems a little out on its own!!! :)

The only other 2 categories I can think of are "Track Days" for taking your own bike to/around a race track, and "Longer Trips" for weekends away and foriegn trips.

Otherwise I think we are almost there with the list.
