The ride was fantastic, thanks! Thanks Andy for the escort.
Lovely ride out, unfortunately not many out and about but LB is going to have words with the landlord of The Arrow about discounts etc. and maybe put something together to get some more interest. Lovely big car park and great possibilities if we can get folk out there.
JP
Sounds like it could work if the discounts are there

Sounds like a cunning plan :)

yep, spoke to land lord, really nice guy who rides harleys and bmw gs. hm and his wife have gone all over the world on bikes.
he will be willing to chat about rider consessions if we get enough people going and its a regular event.
the few things he is woried about is putting on extra staff to accomodate the turnout, and the hangers on who think that a bike meet is burnouts, wheelies and stunts.
over time if we can get more and more to realise that its worth the ride then it will be a great venue and event. he even welcomes weekend camping as theres loads of space and excellent views. that will of course would have to be an arranged event. you cant just turn up with your tent and pitch.
me and a few others will continue to attend on wednesday nights and promote it to everyone we meet, rome wasnt built in a day, but brick by brick this could be worth the work.
hope to see you there.

I'm assuming the latter part of this thread is refering to the Arrow Mill pub and not the Waterman? If so maybe someone would start a new thread? with the Arrow Mill as the title cos it gets confusing (for me, humour me I'm old lol)

Yes fully agree sandi it is a bit miss leading if you don't read page 1
