POLICE IN Pennsylvania, USA, are investigating the suspicious death of 47-year-old motorcyclist after he was found with a gunshot wound to his head.

Police say the scene of the fatal incident, on Route 819, initially looked like a straight forward road traffic accident: a dead deer in the middle of the road and a crashed bike with the rider, William Mark Amos, trapped beneath it.

Officers initially assumed Amos, who wasn't wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, had collided with the deer and subsequently been killed when his head struck the road. But when officers lifted the 1982 Harley-Davidson off Amos’ body, they found the rider had been killed by a gunshot to the head.

A pistol was found underneath the deceased biker's body.

Police say they are now conducting forensic tests to deduce whether anyone else was involved in the incident.

perhaps he couldnt take harleys any longer and shot him self or maybe a dear hunter missed the dear and shot him instead he didnt have time to shoot back though lol                                                                                                                                                                              

Maybe he swerved to avoid th edeer and by a freak of nature the gun he just happened to be carrying dropped out his pocket hit the ground and shot him as he fell ...............

I read about this on another site and it said that the coroner had now determined that it was suicide. The gunshot wound to the back of his head was self inflicted, and happened after he'd crashed his bike. It's got to be pretty hard to shoot yourself in the back of the head while there's a bike on top of you.

The deer ran into the road causing the biker to swerve, the pi$$ed off biker then decided to give the deer what for, took out his gun to shoot it but went over a speed bump causing him to throw the gun into the air, which was then caught by the deer in his mouth, knowing it was either him or the biker, the deer aimed at the bikers head and fired the fatal shot, scared by the shot, the deer ran in front of the bike and was unfortunately killed.....   <--  runs round to shells for a spare straight jacket
