I am fast approaching 50 but already have several bikes, don't want a sports car or a supermodel girlfriend. What am I supposed to do?
Maybe I should just skip the whole thing and get an Allotment with a nice shed?

That is a good idea. An Allotment with a nice big shed so you can the get a Hippy Girlfriend who will grow stuff for you. You can sit in the shed drinking tea eating cake and servicing your bikes when its a rubbish day for riding.

Oh dear SG, are all the bikes from your 40th midlife crisis?, if so you need to sort this one out soon, as before you know it you'll be having your 60th midlife crisis.......and then in your 60's.....according to a guy on the radio......you'll be ready to settle down.

I see a lot of men in their fifties dressed in Adidas gear.......worth a thought........ ;)

nearly 50....wow you are about to hit male puberty.

I can vouch for the allotment and shed (build your own like what I did, very satisfying and you get to have fun with expanding foam).

Or you could take up some extreme sport like golf....and you get to buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes as well

Just behave as you did at 20...and there's never a right age to buy a Harley..

Hippy Girlfriend- maybe
Adidas gear- absolutely not
Golf and golf clothes- NO, NO, NO, NO, NO
Harley- don't thing so, maybe a Thunderbird Storm
Behave as I did when 20- if I do that I wont make 50
Complete failure to grow up is surely the only option Thumbs Up

I remember worrying sbout being 40. Then 50 then 60. Not sure about the next one. But I still haven't grown up. Just enjoy being what and where you are.

OMG, AJ in a full set of leathers - I need to sit down before I start swooning too much!

SG - I think the way forward is country and western music and leather chaps with tassels whilst wearing a leather waistcoat without a shirt, shouting yeehaa whilst washing your bikes in the shed on the allotment!! Lol

I choose not to label my situation as a mid life crisis - it's a product of long standing issues I had in my marriage - but thanks to the timing, everyone else seemed to think it was a mid life crisis, since it had all the hallmarks... Bought a big powerful bike, ditched the wife, moved into my own place and got a super hot girlfriend

Yep that's a midlife crisis Mike.
But the cure sounds good.

@DavidNeale- how can you have had a 60th crisis when you are clearly in your early fifties?

I wished Slowgoose. I saw 60 over 7 years ago.
As they say, " age is but a number" :-)

A mid life crisis is for people who see death as a certainty. I see it as an option. Lol ??
