Do you think he just got spooked by the guard rail and the view?

Interesting studying the body positions in this vid.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CV5KDHItiDk&feature=...ure=relmfu     Some are obviously wrong but interesting to see how some of the sports bike riders are "assuming the position" but have trail bike riders right on their rear wheel sitting upright. Other sports bike riders have definitely got that corner dialled in, though.   And this is definitely NOT how to do it, either going up the hill or down...   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVV6K0ORUKc&feature=...re=related

In the first vid it looked like he just gave up, ran out of puff, or petrol, like he just let go of the throttle and he fell off the bike. In the second vid it did look like maybe he was distracted by the guard rail.   'How not to do it' vid I PML @ one person's comments...    am an exper rider and his body wasn't conjoined right with his abdominal posture of the stance that provides a clean but transical turn. He also lacked the ability to converse the handle bars into menataining the accurate wind speed and moisture of his ass, further more if not done correctly the result is found guilty in the gravitations that fully allow the injury of the teblosion which can mynamoulesly alter? and eradicate the allowed ratio of judgment.   is there an interpreter in the house?   PML @ YID's comment, are you refering to the rider or the person who posted the jibberish?  LOL

Never seen  so many posers  with headcameras on --  do they just ride round and round this same corner  all day long ??  AND ANOTHER  thing :: if you are going to us a headcamera, gat a proper one ,  dont just stick your  normal camera on your helmet -- you look like a  right  noddy !       Good morning by the way  :-0)

Never seen  so many posers  with headcameras on --  do they just ride round and round this same corner  all day long ??    Er, actually, Yes. That's Mullholland Drive (with other roads nearby). It's notorious. There is a distinct lack of curves in most US states and for some reason the Californians think that this road is the perfect biker hang-out. All they do is ride up and down the road all day.   Saying that however, we've plenty of such places in ths UK as well.   In regards to helmet cameras - oddly enough, of the literally thousands of videos on the web regarding crashes on Mullholland, by far they are taken from the side of the road.   By 'Proper One' unfortunately, some of the dedicated action oriented camera are still inherently 'normal looking' (though far from all e.g. Drift's). GoPro's for example, look like a normal (if small) camera and the fittings just accentuate the appearance of having a normal camera stuck to the side of the head. It's one of the reasons I stayed away from GoPro when buying my 'body of proof' camera.

Typical case of fixation if he looked through the corner instead of directly   in front he would have got round no problem without any braking.

I agree with pj46 an embarrassing case of target fixation.   I bet he saw that crash barrier and thought, "must not hit that crash barrier, must not hit that crash barrier" but he can't take his eyes off it!   And every learner who's had their instructor's voice ringing in their ears, knows "don't look at the kerb!!! Look where you want to go!"
