That was quick Sandi , nice 1     Not many off BM go to this rally , but i know loads of people that do go anyway , been going myself since it started , been going up to Dunbeath for 20 years and know a lot of the locals too .   We'll be leaving Ripon for 6am on the Friday , if anyone wants to ride up with us send me a PM , can also put people up on the Thursday night too have a large house . The ride up will be fairly quick paced , like to get up there for about 3pm plenty of daylight left for getting tents up.   We'll have around 4 fuel stops as Kev's Firestorm has only got a little tank , if I go on my own only need 2 fuel stops Bandit can top 200 miles on 1 tank .

planned route - A1 , A68 , A720 , M90 , A9   planned fuel stops - Jedburgh , Perth or Ballinluig(good cafe here too) , Inverness(Tesco) , Brora(last b4 Dunbeath, been told the cafe here is excellent)                                                                                                                                                                             

and then there were 2     good long distance run for some - trophy for furthest travelled rider ( won last year by a fella from Cornwall , who took the scenic routes n clocked up just over 1000 miles)

Fast jock is it a good rally, how many usually go to it.?

I'm up in Wick that weekend but might get my nephew to drive me down for Saturday piss up, won't be on the bike though as I have a course in Aberdeen on Monday so driving straight there from Caithness

aye it's a good little rally , i've been going to it since it started only missed 2 of them , must admit it was better when it was marquee in a field , guy that owned the field got greedy and wanted too much money so they moved to the village hall . usually 150+ go .   might land up in Wick on the sat , did last year , got back to the rally about 8pm pissed as, 9 o us in a 7 seater taxi
