hi i'm ok with changing the actual battery on my Harley but... does the immobiliser make it a mammoth job as it gets disconnected from the battery

Think you have to do it with the ignition switched on and then its fine dont need to reset it

No worries with battery change at all, the immobiliser requires no resetting or adjustment.
