Got my CBT a few weeks ago and concentrating on getting a few miles behind me. I've really scared myself twice this week fixing on oncoming cars on left hand bends and feeling helpless to steer where I should be going. Recovered the situation ok both times but sheesh...it was weird. This never happened to me when i was learning many moons ago and has left me a bit rattled. Will it go away?!!!

When your riding you really should , no need to focus on the point ahead of you where you want the bike to go, if you focus on an object or a car it is possible you will drive into that object or have near misses. Just concentrate on your position and get there early an in the correct gear and speed then focus on where you want to go on the bend usually watch the point where both verges meet if it is a steady distance from you it's an even bend if it goes away it is opening up if it moves towards you it is tightening..... Hope it helps

the more you ride the more you will realise what is happening & be able to avoid it, i had a bad case on a bend to Farmyard this year & pulled myself out of it ... almost hit the curb on a steep left hander .... you will get to realise what your doing but avoid it as a 'matter of fact ' rather than an 'oh f&*)(&*&ing hell' moment

Thanks you lot. I've learned the hard way and been ok but I'm aware there is a current exponential growth in bm newbies fledging onto the road at the moment....and it happens so quickly when we are out there... look where you want to go and MAKE YOUR EYES LOOK there, and not at the hazzard you are aware of....and your bike will take you....bless my lovely suzi x love her to bits
