...wanted!...
...to feature in a major T V documentary about the A1.
Are you the next Meatloaf, or Cher?
We are looking for strong characters who are happy to talk, and sing, about what being a biker means to them.
This is your chance to have your story turned into a song!
Do you live, or work, on or very close to the A1?
If you do and you're willing to sing, even if ya can't hold a note, then contact Ben at

Saw the title of this thread and thought it was going to be about who sings while riding their bike.
Hands up to that one, well that was until I was caught singing at the top of my voice, not realising how loud because of wearing my helmet, I pulled up at an island singing away, goodness knows why on such a sunny day I was singing "I'm singing in the rain" only to take a sideways check and see two guys in a white van pulled up in the next lane to me laughing their heads off, so I just smiled and they gave me the thumbs up and a wink, set me up for the rest of my day and also made me relaxed on my bike as it made me smiley for the whole ride out.
Oh yeah forgot to mention I am so tone deaf when I sing in the bath the duck eithers dives under water or jumps out the bath to escape the row.

It's a shame ya don't live near the A1 C G you'd be an ideal candidate
Di
I only sing when I'm on my own and the music is loud!
I couldn't inflict me singing on anyone else!!

I will stick to drumming thanks Kwak...

Me too Skins, I'll stick to fiddling with me drumsticks! If you've ever heard me sing, you'll know why lol.
Might give them a shout though, can always talk about it!!!

If you hear of anyone looking for aspiring poets / tortured souls on the South Coast then I'll see if I can find one

Blue, the criteria is you gotta be willing to sing, least that's the way I interpreted it when I read it. It does say it don't matter if you can't hold a note.
It's a bit confusing cos they ask for bikers to tell what it's like being a biker, but they also ask for folk to talk about the A1, I don't see the connection, apart from riding on the A1 to get to Squires, the biker cafe.

Thanks for the heads up, Kwak.
I enjoyed it, the biker segment at Squires was definitely the best bit!!
Sandi
Mat you're welcome, I missed the first 10 mins cos I was asleep.
Really? I thought it was a bit cringe-worthy, especially the bikers singing at Squires. I recognised the male singer but can't remember where from, probably when I've been to Squires.
Did anyone else watch it? What are your views?
