Hi.
Not been on here for a while.
Just wondering where everyone has gone.
I don't think the site is as popular as it once was!!

I am on the site for friendship and riding with like minded people I am married ,maybe people have gone because they are single looking for something a little bit more naughty .

I was quiet active for a few years before Covid, then went away for a few years, and now just pop back in occasionally.
On other (non-bike) groups or forums I was/am on, interest has been waning for years now as more people move onto Facebook. Perhaps the same has happened here? It used to be so much more fun back then, and I do still wonder if the people I met and socialised with on here are still alive.

It hasnt been the same since the site had a major update. Changes to chat didnt help. Taking all the coloured crayons away and the whisper feature killed it off.

I liked the whisper and the red faces when they forgot to hit the whisper button and everyone could read it

Have to agree, it is a bit quiet even compared to 4 years ago when I joined... there was a lot more going on. Chat room is so quiet... 🤫

I loved it when we used to arrange adhoc bike rides in chat... great times. It's not just chat very quiet, it's forums too. I know it's usually quieter in summer but last winter it was too... loads of members but not many seem to participate 😕

I must admit I've never bothered with the chat rooms, everything always happens faster than I can type, but even the forums are slow these days.
Looking back a decade or so there used to be many more BM organised camps and rides and they were well attended, these days there are fewer events and attended by the same people (that's not a disparaging comment, I love you all, even our dominatix BJ)
I suppose 10 years is enough to age many people out and sitting in a field of mud or on a motorbike all day becomes less attractive.

Right I'm off to read the Daily Wail and write a letter about the youth of today etc etc dribble....

Well, it’s certainly much quieter, chat was full of banter pre-pre-Covid, I will have to look back & the year !
Maybe we are just all getting older and more “Insular” 🤣🤣 👵 x

Banter indeed Bobbins, chat was always full of inuendo bordering on smuttiness without vulgarity.

I remember it well, we did have a few late night laughs.

The chat room isn't the same without the bartender or the silent DJ...apparently there used to be toys too🤔

KC keeps the toyboy under lock and key, the bartender went to ventures new ( he couldn't handle us) and the silent DJ is waiting for retirement so he can put in more time into blasting out the tunes. I remember the year I joined... my first Xmas on my own and the nutters in the chatroom made my night. Those were the days... even events don't seem to attract as many members anymore... at the end of the day it's the effort members put in themselves to make this work...

Toyboy???

I tried to invite a non member to tomorrows event but when I said it was 90 miles away he nearly fell off his chair....mind you he does ride a Ducati 🤣

Sorry toybox... bloody autocorrect...couple of my friends are coming to Rothley. I wonder if its worth actually putting ride out events up, it's mostly a trusted few that are bothered.... 🤔

I guess it’s worth a try Slash, it is hard to get people to ride out, unless it’s a local bike night or a cafe down the road. I am thinking of going to the Dog House, Reevsby Bank on Monday to see what it’s all about, some sort of bikers hub apparently, near Boston.

I guess a lot of members are looking for The One or whatever 😅 and maybe not fussed about ride outs and meets...? But like I said earlier, you get out what you put in. Don't worry Tez, I will keep posting on events. Let us know about Dog House 👍
