Why are notifications on average 3 hours behind, most other forums have instant notifications for private messages as well as other notifications regarding updated forum posts and other useful information.

I understand that forums and websites are expensive to run, but I am a subscribed member and if the current software is incapable then it should be upgraded.

This is one of the most expensive sites I am subscribed to, but to me it is not delivering the performance required.

Thank you.

Sorry to hear you are having a problem Dynax but I'm not sure why it's taking so long for you to get notifications, however since 12 noon until 8:30 I've had 12 just from one person with replies too.
So the site isn't slow for me.
Maybe it's you internet that's the problem.

My email notifications of messages take minutes not hours Michael πŸ€”

It's not something new, been like this ever since I have joined.

I use mobile broadband tethering to my laptop, average speed is 35MB/s.

Never had this on any other websites or forums.

Oh well not to worry, just one of them niggles I guess.

Yep i agree dynax the notifications page is a few hours behind😏

I have to wade in on this. Before Matt refurbished the site a few years ago, notifications were a lot quicker, almost instantaneous. Ever since then, and it was done with the intention of making apple products compatible I believe, the above mentioned issue began. This topic was raised shortly after the afore mentioned 'upgrade' and has been with us ever since.

It is a technical issue then, never mind I expect it will get resolved at some point.

Just a quick update, Suuzi's last post was time stamped 15.21, it has only recently appeared in my notifications, at least 6hrs after she posted it. It was never that bad before the site revamp.
