'Police to test sight of stopped drivers'.
Drivers who fail to read a number plate from 20m (65ft) away, when stopped by police, will have their licence revoked IMMEDIATELY.
In a new crackdown, 3 forces in England are planning to test every motorist they stop, in a bid to clamp down on drivers with defective eyesight.
The forces taking part are Thames valley, Hampshire and West Midlands.
(If you've not had your eyes tested in the last couple of years, or more, maybe now is a good time to book an eye test?)

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak - it’s your fault I didn’t see you 😜

Shame it isn't happening in West Yorkshire.
I know a few folk that could do with an eye test. Most of 'em would profess to having perfect vision. Scary really.
In some respects I hope they get pulled, it may well give them the prod they need to get off their arses n go to see an optician. .

This should have been done years ago. Fortunately, I have my eyes tested every year for own peace of mind. Plus the fact. My guide dog is not a very good driver. He's barking mad!!!!
