Just read about a 78 year old pensioner who has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two men entered his home uninvited. One guy with a screw driver in his hand forced the pensioner into his kitchen whilst the other one went upstairs. during a scuffle in the kitchen the 38 year old was injured and was found by paramedics later in a nearby street. The guy died.
Now the poor pensioner is sitting in a cell probably a little scared of whats happening or going to happen all because he defended himself and his home.
When is it wrong to defend yourself and whats yours from others intent on taking it from you.

Its all wrong. Hopefully they will see sence and let him go.

We must be the only country in the world where your not allowed to defend your self.

Hope he gets no charges for this, the man was defending his wife and home. Scumbag thieves deserve what they get when they are caught in the victim/s home.

The dead burglars sister was interviewed on radio yesterday and surprisingly he was '' a nice man, with a wife and kids, never got in trouble. '' She reckoned he didn't deserve to be stabbed to death. My thoughts at the time, between bouts of uproarious laughter, was, well WTF was he doing breaking in to a pensioners home at night, uninvited and threatening the owner with a screwdriver? No doubt his accomplice will claim they were looking for a lost cat or some other stupid excuse. The surviving burglar will no doubt try to sue the pensioner for loss of earnings due to the loss of 50% of the work force in his criminal enterprise. If the police are not in a position to protect law abiding people or their property, then they and the CPS should not be in the least bit surprised when the ordinary man protects his family and home. All thieving bastards deserve fates similar if not the same, although severe maiming to the point where walking normally is difficult or the everyday use of arms and jaws is a painful reminder to the miscreant, it will put an unnecessary burden on the benefits system, so death will not only reduce the crime figures but will serve to save the country money in the long run.

I guess after the news today, the uproar from his neighbours and a fundraising campaign...there'll be a press release shortly from the CPS saying, 'proceeding with legal action isn't in the public interest....'

I know the police have to be seen doing their job but it does feel that criminals have more rights than the victim.
And I applaud the person who removed all those flowers and wreaths from outside the pensioners house.
