Hi Folks, Sadly Ian Wright (Noddy) died last week, as some will know he had been suffering from cancer for a number of years. He knew it would "get him" eventually so tried to pack as much as he could into the time he had left, and this was mainly Motor Bike related. Ian was a Motor Bike fanatic, very knowledgable and always happy to give help and advice, as well as been a true Gent. His wife Sue (Hells Granny) would very much like a Motor Cycle escort for the Hearst at Ian's funeral, the funeral is in Halifax next Friday (6th), and we will need to be there at 3-00. So please anyone who is available and can spare the time to give a Biker a Bikers send off, as well as giving Sue some small comfort at this difficult time, just add your name to this post. I will confirm post codes and the exact details mid week when we see what numbers we have. You don't need to have known Ian to attend, the more we can get the better the send off will be. Many Thanks

Such sad news, Noddy was a truly lovely man. If I can get time off I will attend, won't know until tomorrow. My thoughts with Sue and family.

Terribly sad news, words just aren't enough. I hope there will be some comfort for Sue, knowing that so many people are thinking about her (and the family) at this time.
The good times they shared will be no doubt treasured and remembered fondly.
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend due to work commitments but I will take time out of my day to pay my respects.
We have lost one of the really good guys. Ride Free Noddy

Ian was one of a kind who fought the fight all the time and despite the illness was always joking or helping others.
I think it says it all as to how much he will be missed, such a strong presence of a man while in his company.
Be at peace

Sad news. Never met Noddy but saw his posts on threads here.
I hope you get a good turnout, sadly I won't be able to join it.
My condolences to Sue and to all his friends who will miss him.

I got to know Ian initialy by playing the word games on BM. I had the privalage of joining him on some good ride outs, the dams in Wales and the lakeland passes, to name but two. He would PM me occasionaly to see if I wanted to join a rideout or to give advice on what sports tourer to buy. I bought my FJR based on Ian's advice and I am very pleased with the choice. I was shocked when I was told that Ian was no longer with us. My thoughts go out to Sue, Ian''s family and friends.
With regret I cannot make it on Friday due to work. I will be thinking of him and all those that can attend.
