There used to be a series of rallies that made you do furthest east/west/north and south AND you got a special badge if you did ALL four ! Some going though - Good Luck if ya do it !!

I used to live 3 miles from The Lizard, the most southerly point of UK, so I aimed for Dunnet Head, the most northerly point. Took a diversion via Essex and France to visit friends.
Ended up visiting JoG anyway as the campsite's there but would recommend avoiding Landsend as its just so commercial, The Lizard Point is much nicer and they do great pasties in the village.

jp, I have not forgotten your idea of doing G.O.G. to Landsend on classic bikes. Have you managed to get the old BSA plunger yet?

I did it in two parts. Ride one was a tour round Scotland. Up the East coast to John O groats, then accross the top and down the west coast. Beautiful sceneary. The next ride was to North Wales, then down through wales and down to lands End. Then a quick run home.

The bike is a zrx1200r and about £170 in petrol but enjoyed every minute of the trip even the fact that I got a nail in the back tyre and had to a new one fitted and big thanks to the 2 police officers who gave a police ecourt to nearest bike shop love every minute
