Hi Intruder,

This is going to sound stupid I know! Ermm , but what the hell!

The alarm isn't wired in such a way that when the 'kill switch' is in the 'off position', that the alarm is being bypassed into being switched off itself is it by any chance?

Like I say, I know it sounds stupid, but isn't the first time I've heard of things being wired wrong even by professionals?!

It was working fine pal ... I've done some digging tonight and I think water has got into a junction box and corroded the connections. I have found a guy from the link you guys kindly found for me and he is confident that he can sort it. Cheers.

Not sure if this happens to all alarms Malc, but coincidentally 2 datatool keyfobs ceased to work at the same time whilst we were parked up at a peage in France. Turns out that the local radio tower (whether it be telephone or other) was jamming our frequencies. Ok if your alarm is just an alarm, you can still ride it out of range of the tower like I did, but if your alarm is an alarm/immobiliser, then either push the bike or press the keyfob when trucks are blocking the line of site from the tower to your bike like one of the lads did. Just a little tip to remember if you cannot set/reset the alarm whilst on your travels. NHM

The same thing can happen at Belgian automated petrol stations.
