i wouldnt buy the gloves again - not really worth the money after a few times wearing em.... when wet the insides all come out so hard to get back after refuelling etc!! and unless you need a pair there an then i would hold off and get some better ones elsewher ... in my opinion Wink... maybe ok for wearing once in a blue moon bt for regular riding use .... noooo   i also bought the base layer wind stuff that is pretty good under other stuff in winter and i got waterproof over trousers from either lidl or aldi cant remember now and they do keep the rain out!!!

I have to agree with suzi about the gloves. I only use them when my usual ones are wet because the insides come out but they are sooooo cheeeeaaaappp you may as well have a spare pair. They also do a windproof neckie thing which is well worth having but they sell fairly quickly so you will have to grab one before they go

Here's a tip for wet gloves:
pick up some thin plastic disposables at the petrol station and wear them inside your gloves. Yes, your hands will get a bit sweatty (but they'd be wet anyway) but they will slide easily in and out of your gloves - wet or dry. Once compressed and tightened up inside your gloves you don't feel like they'll be all slippy and likely to lose any control.   I wear a thin inner glove, then plastic disposable glove, then unlined leather summer glove and which insulates my hands and keeps me warm and comfortable. Hope it helps - and, it costs nothing.   Does anyone know what the sizings are like at LiDL or Aldi?   by that I mean do they fit the size they state they are, or are they smaller or larger?

I think it is best to try stuff on, Sandi. I have monstrous hands and really have difficulty getting gloves to fit but the ones I bought say large even though I have tried the xxl ones and couldn't get them on! The sizes are a bit erratic, they will either fit or not! The ones I bought fit fine. I haven't tried the helmets but the jackets are a bit on the big size I found. That is if you are in a shop selling them, not all the shops have exactly the same stock in. Might be worth trying a few if there is more than one near you

I normally take a 46" (ish),their xxl/50" to 52" fit me fine!

Their sizes are all SMALLER than we are probably used to... had a look at the boots, had to take the 11's as they were equivalent to 10's.

yeah i think my wind proof under top thing is a 14 and im usually a 12 bt it fits ok bit long on sleeve bt i think 12 would have been too tight...   the trousers i got are smallest and they are big on me i can fit jeans and the padded linings and still have room!!! bt i tried em on in the shp over me jeans as wanted some i could wear over anthing.... not the most flattering bt if i want to stay dry on bottom half i dont really care what i look like!!!... i must admit tho generally i just rather get wet as it dont really bother me unless on way to rally in teemin down rain then i rather arrive dry!!!   hope that helps Sandi - best to try on if poss   oh yeah P.S.... on the gloves front... i got a brilliant pair of lovely all leather gloves from bikers gearbox in matlock bath for £15.00 much much better value than the ones from Lidl ... bt horse for courses etc Thumbs Up

I offered to drop my trousers... and they looked shocked... But the Boots were OK, just find a spare place to stand inbetween the aisles and you are good to go.   They do have a full returns policy and they all seem like nice folk at Hinckley.

When I went back again last night it was virtually ALL gone... less than 48 hours on the shelves... and no excuse left for getting my kit off in Aldi... Wink
