Just sitting at home with two metal plates and screws in right shoulder and knackered ligaments in ankle.
How? - Pedestrian doing a Usain bolt, 25 ft from a pedestrian crossing, over a main road in Tunbridge Wells.
Me - off work for min two months and no driving(car) for the same. No riding bike for min 6 months. no claims bonus gone, new leathers (do the casualty depts have a fetish about cutting off leathers?)
She- Bump on the bum from my fairing
N.B Anyone need a weekend ticket + camping for Cadwell??

Oh dear :-( Have you checked whether you can make a claim through the MIB (Motor insurer's bureau). Or is that just for being hit by another uninsured motorist.
Or can you claim through any household policy thats held by the other party involved. You might need to prove fault, but as it was in the road, involving a predestrian, and not on a recognised crossing that shouldn't be too hard.
hope you get better soon Alan

Thanks SPESH.
A big fat negative to each avenue. The coppers who attended (who by the way were brilliant) say they get really p---d off with this, as they have no legal redress against a wayward pedestrian. Perhaps we can start a petition!
And no more womens beach volleyball highlights to pass the time now!

Never mind wot the cops say; seek legal advice from a 'biker' solicitor.

Aww that's not good cbrman, hope you heal quickly and that you can get some compensation, loss of earnings for one.   In America it's called Jay walking and it's illegal, about time we had it here I reckon.

A colleague of mine was on the other side of this exact same scenario, she was the pedestrian, the biker sued her, I don't know what the outcome was as she had serious injuries too and had to give up work (retired early)
  good luck with your plight
