Once dates and meeting places have been decided it could be worth inviting standard members along as well. A few private messages from event organisers to those standard members with L plates who can't post in the forum wouldn't hurt.   It could even get them to spend some of that vast amount of money they save in road tax on a full membership.   If it's late enough in the year, one of them might even have a KTM 125 Duke.   Anyway, just an idea.

Suzy, it will be later in the year when it's warmer and drier so I am sure by then you will be back in the swing :-)

Good one contra will be doing nearer the time, think I am safe saying that this will be going ahead, just need the logistics to work lol and to figure the start points :-)

Suzy.. what about getting a pilly from someone you can trust .. maybe take part in the Pilly ride out day?   That might boost your confidence again.Smile   I'm only on CBT too ( albeit for the 2nd time! lol) and like Shell says.. by the time we have this ride out you will probs be back out on your 125 again.Thumbs Up

There ya go Ian ... Something to keep you going for now ... Get Suzy back on her bike again :-)

Suzy. I know how you feel 3 days after doing my CBT, whilst on a lesson I came off turning onto a duel carriageway, in a thunder storm, my instructor asked me if I could manage the 2 min ride to the local Morrisons, back break only as the leaver had gone, 30 min later we pulled into the car park with me protesting that it was the longest 2 min ride ever, to be asked ... Well would you have got back on the bike if I told you it was 30 min away?

Ended up on crutches for 8 weeks with a torn tendon but so glad I did not give up :-)

I'm up for this if I'm free once we know dates.  I can pick up at Matlock. Me and my Bonnie are definitely built for comfort not speed, so no worries about pottering around with learners in tow!   Oh, and my advice re nerves, get straight back on.  I nearly chucked next day when passing where I got knocked off, but within a couple of days I was fine.

Best to just get out regardless of the weather as if you can ride in it bad it gives you oodles of confidence in dry. Also means if your out and the weather turns bad you won't freeze up or stress about it.

As for CBT/small cc bikes is the 50/60 open roads and how to gauge and turn into corners (road craft).  While doing these types of runs you learn a lot it's I feel a straight 50/50.  Half what you can be told and the other half getting out there and doing the miles.

I have filming equipment so can do that also if anyone requires Thumbs Up and thought some runs from central Scotland around back of Falkirk would be a fantastic place to go.

Cracking idea! Shell, you can put me down to ride shot-gun if you're still looking for volunteers. Have you any dates in mind yet?

The scotch piper would be a good meeting place for riders on merseyside. usually quite quiet on a Saturday / Sunday and is a great take off point into Lancashire too. I am sure me and wills can escort a few riders.

ive got one of those action cams you can strap to your head or handle barsThumbs Up, its got about one hour filming on a 2gig card with sound but the good thing is its water proof to three meters so filming in grumpy weather is no problem or shallow water when fallen inBig smile

i have a dvr and an external camera for my bike. will record for about 4 hours on the internal memory and you can add additional memory. i also gave a clip on camera on order from ebay. cost something like £16 so no tears shed if it gets damaged.

WOW !

The interest so far is GREAT offers so far covering at least 10 areas thank you so much all ... Could still do with someone to help Mad, and 6ypsy and don't have much between Manchester n Scotland or below Midlands, Yorkshire is a wee bit sparse too.

Thankyou to everyone offering help, just shows the true spirit of BM :-)

We could even organise a ride out at the K.I.S.S rallie perhaps, I will put it to Jackie, i dont like the idea of video mounts on bikes, i know its a double edged sowrd, as you can advise on riding skills, but some of the learners may feel uncomfortable with being filme, best to cast a vote with the riders maybe...just a opinion.

Ian your mission (should you choose to accept it)  for now is to get a certain young lady feeling confident on her bike again

A ride out is already being planned for the KISS Rally but due to the variety of folk attending prob not a good idea to make it specific for 125s, i'll leave that to Shell lol  I am happy for folk who want to offer their services or those on 125s who would like to take this opportunity up to contact me and Shell says us 2 chat everyday :)
