Bought and watched 3 times already on Dvd the 1st series of 'VERSAILLES', top quality, world beating, excellent, historical period drama of French 17th century Royal and Noble history set around the palace of Versailles. Again "GRIPPING STUFF!!".Cool

Eagerly anticipating the chance to buy, at a fair and reasonable price, 'ANTHROPOID'.
This is the new movie recently released on DVD based on true events which took place in Prague, Czech-Republic during the latter part of May 1942, the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich (the Nazi butcher of Prague, the Reichs Protector of Bohemia and Moravia).
Please have a watch of this movie if you get the chance because some extremely brave young Czech and Slovak men gave their lives in the fight against Nazism and the Nazi occupiers took a murderous revenge on the innocent men women and children of the village of Lidice.

Watched   'Allied'   last night. Even I ended up almost tearful at the ending.   Good film.  Stars Bradd Pitt and someone else.  Smile

Finally saw Bladerunner 2049 a few days ago.

There were some interesting cameos and links to the original. Soundtrack was also a good mix of modern with respectful nods to Vangelis.

Saw it in 2D, so can't comment on any 3D effects.
As usual for Ridley, the atmosphere and landscapes were awesome.

A long film, for sure...but didn't feel it.
I didn't go with nostalgia in mind...the original was shown in Cineworld a few days before this was released.

Neither film really survives on a TV screen, there's too much going on.
