I think my Paypal has worked .... but then I havnt had my credit card bill ! I didnt see the point of not being able to reply to people and the way I look at it is its cheaper than a cup of coffee from Costa lot. Yes Kwak, I joined because it is Biker Match, and would like to find a partner.   I do think that parties and events can only be good, when you get to my age your mates are married and your Saturday evening highlight is catching up with the ironing!

I just spent over half an hour typing a message here, then pressed backspace and lost the lot! Well chuffed off now!!!!!  :-( So this time im gonna be brief, cos ive lost my temper - my own stupid fault.  Bullet points instead lol, but thanks for all the comments raised... Everyone is welcome to pay via cheque or bank transfer.  Cheque wont be an option after May though as I wont be in the country.  You must pay a minimum of 12 months however, due to the extra admin time involved.  Please avoid cheques where possible, I hate them and having to go to bank to put them in etc. Paypal ISNT ever a problem, there's nothing wrong with it.  In fact, most of the work is done for you by yours truely!  I've got everything setup so that you get ONE PAGE which prompts you for some basic details, like name, address, credit/debit card.  What's so hard with that?  All you do is submit that information and everything is done for you... paypal account is created for you, a subscription is setup, first payment is taken etc.  The only problems were with people paying by direct debit - which takes 10 days.  Then wondering why their account wasn't upgraded.  This has since been fixed, the site accepts "notification of pending payments" If you don't want paypal to take anything out of your account each week, then you can "preload" your paypal account with funds to cover future payments.  This is done by logging in at paypal.com and chosing "Add funds". Kwak - please dont shy away from contacting standard members.  They are often just waiting to be contacted before signing up.  This is why i didnt want to include subscription status on profiles. Back to paypal - all you have to do is READ the pages carefully, and not skim over it.  Fill in the boxes, submit the form, and you're done.  I'm more than happy to help anyone with this, just drop me a message I check my emails everyday, but so that I can have a break sometimes, I won't guarentee a response within 24 hours.  I say 3 days response time max, but its more like 5 minutes, lol.  I can't check the forums so much these days, im currently emigrating as u all know, so its difficult enough responding to the emails (Some of which are SO daft that you couldn't write such drivel if you tried haha.  e.g. "Im trying to reply to a PM, but I keep being asked to subscribe.  Please can you tell me how i reply to the PM"!!!!) The site name is here to stay, it's developed a reputation that I want to keep. The 99p is here to stay for the short future at least (Don't worry, current subscribers will never be asked to pay more).   I believe in a free internet, however it's just nice to have help with running the FIVE servers, setup costs, 3.5 years designing time spent, and the continued advertising costs (£100 per day as of this weekend!!!) Hope this has answered most questions.  As I said, this is the 2nd time I've typed this reply so Im rushing it a bit cos im miffed off with myself lol. Thanks again for your kind comments, it makes a world of difference.

For info: only a tiny 3% subscribe!  Please try and encourage new members and standard members to subscribe.  This is the BEST way you can help the site.  Because once they are subscribed (Like to reply to your message/wink) then they will contact others, and again and again.  Will grow like tree branches then, just needs the current subscribed members to get the ball rolling.

Sorry matt but just read athe post on this thread from sweetheart kwak on the 12th may and i agree with her in all aspects as i joined hoping one day i may find a partner who is olso into bikes either pillion or ride themselves. Now comes the question of subscripions as i would pay up without any word of doubt if i could afford  and at the same time i would have to be convinced that i could find myself a partner,as i see it at the moment i see people like me who cannot afford to subscribe and many more who as no intensions of finding partners!!!! At the moment i am job hunting 24/7 and dont think i will be long before i can afford to subscribe and them i will certainly give it a go unless by chance i get an offer in the meantime that i carn`t refuse

Wot you don't see hun are the stacks of people who are pm ing behind the scenes! There are sooooooooooooo many who don't post on the forum and are finding partners without ever making a post, they wink and then pm and the rest is history as we say! So, the site is matching people up all the time hun, you just subscribe as and when you want unless Matt manages to get the gov to make it law in the meantimeLOL

Yep, there's arround 20,000 private messages floating around.   Currently there are around 400 private messasges being sent every day, that's far more than posts in the forums.   Plus there are over 60 new members registering everyday now that im advertising the site more.   My suggestion is that you create a matchmake alert in your account.  Then wait for someone to come along you like, send them a wink... and see what happens.  Winking doesn't require a subscription, neither do matchmaker alerts.   Cant say fairer than that.  The site currently costs £2,580 per month to run, and that wasn't a typo!  Hardly a fraction of that comes back in subscriptions, so I won't be doing it for long unless it's successful.
