PS: will not mean any more work actually.  Which is good news. Basically, when ur account is created, it sets ur subscription end date to "now + 7 days".  So then in 7 days it automatically removes the extended features. Wont mean a single bit of work from me (except for to make a quick change to the SQL server).

i was just about to sign up... my temptation to spend yet more monies on random things overcame my resistences... however i clicked the sign that says visa/mastercard ect..  and it took me straight to the paypal thingy.. i forgot all my details for paypal..

it might be worth changing the link to a paypal one rather than the leading credit cards, its kinda misleading. i dont mind sticking my numbers into a site, but i'm too lazy to chase up paypal about my account info. or make it so you can take CC details aswell?

i'm sure i'll sign up, especially as its 99p a week, good deal there. just need to get off my lazy ass.. 80)

one thing i was interested in, is wether this is a constant charge? (meaning it will be paid untill i cancel or my card expires) or wether it needs to be renewed yearly?

It can go for 1 week or 3000 years.  You basically sign up with your details and it sends me a quid weekly (I put the price to £4.99 /mo but nobody signed up, so I though 99p per weeks looks more "appealing").  You can cancel your subscription at any point, even after a single day if you like.   You can use the cards mentioned, when you fill in the paypal form.  Just create a new PayPal account with the form that it takes you to and you should be fine.

Hi Matt This PayPal thing is doing my head in my VSOC membership is overdue, i know another site you can pay weekly through your mobile phone, whether you have to be on contract not sure, probably not as long as you have funds, is that a suggestion that can be easily set up

Can I just make a suggestion!   If you have a problem the easiest way to get it sorted is to email Matt from the homepage. He doesn't always get time to read the forums but he does check his mail quite often.   Di

And this isn't a complaint, just a comment.   Take it easy, Mark.

Hi Matt,   You're doing a grand job with the site, as I've opined before.   I would pay £5.00 a month, I wanted to vote but the poll seems to have disappeared from the Chat mainpage.Ermm   I have to say that my Paypal was a piss of p*ss to set up, and has run fine ever since.Approve That said, I am not a fan of DD or SO payments because my income can be very erratic, (that's what you get being a community artist), and so there is always the risk of an empty account. I would probably prefer to be able to pay a lump sum, (6 or 12 months) directly into your BM account.   This however is not suitable for the members like Storm and Rockchick who are working on a much less flexible budget than I am.   I think the site, and your immense hard work, is worth more than 99p a week. I'd also really like to see you have the time to develop the site nearer to it's full potential.Thumbs Up   I guess, like me, you do it mainly for the love of it. However, when all is said and done; you can't enjoy the love if all you can feel is your stomach rumbling.Cry   So I will start the ball rolling, and put my money where my mouth is. PM me with a sort code and acc. no., and I will wire a 12 months (@ £5.00 pm),  subscription to you and cancell my Paypal payments.Approve   C'mon folks, we all love the crack on the site, and we know if £5.00 quid would really break the bank or not, (it would for some, but not for others). If you can, stick your hand in your pocket and give Matt and the site the support they need.Clap   Remember Istaqa's post on 'Family'.Smile

Mark S: It's 99p per WEEK not per month.  ----------- Red:  Being unwaged I find it difficult to raise the 99p never mind a fiver, if the price goes up I won't be able to continue being  a member.  I see a lot of profiles with 'standard' member on them. Standard members can't reply to messages, only FULL members can, why would I want to pay £5, or more, if others can't reply when it's 99p?  BTW the poll, that Matt set up, was set up in August 2006, around September 2006 Matt changed the membership fee to 99p cos folk weren't signing up at the higher price of £4.99, and that's probably why the poll isn't still there.  -------- Matt:  The reason I joined this site is cos it's called Biker MATCH, I assumed there would be like minded people here looking for a partner too. To change the site name would, for me, change my whole perspective.     Kwak Wacko
