Anyone who has their name down but can't make it please either remove your name or message me. That stops me worrying.

The provisional plan for Saturday's ride is meet outside the Teesdale Hotel at 10:30, fully gassed up, to set off about 10:45.

No 'I'll fill up later' bollox, we're heading into the sticks! If your bike won't do over 170 miles on a tank let me know.

The nearest petrol station Alston Road garage at the edge of the village headingtowards Alston.
The next nearest is in Mickleton, about 2 miles away, which is 24 hour and has the E5 stuff for anyone that needs it.

Fully gassed up.
Does that mean a big plate of beans & cola for breakfast?

It means it's bloody hard pushing your bike up and down those hills if you run out of go juice 🀣

I know petrol is expensive, and I know methane is inflammable but I'm trying not to think how's Ragnar's bean powered bike is going to work.... 🀒

Two days to go 😁

The weather is shite today, but looking much better for the weekend (but still bring your waterproofs and thermals). Today's rain should see off the last of the road salt.

Riding routes sorted for both days.
The usual long, but easy, route into Northumberland and over the border on Saturday.
And a slightly more gnarly shorter route on Sunday. I checked the gnarly one yesterday on Scootie, if a scooter is happy all you big butch adventure types should be too 😁
Both are subject to change without notification or anything resembling planning.

The usual rules apply. You need to be road legal and insured, you're responsible for your own actions, breakdown cover is recommended.
No riding like a twat either.

And be very careful from the High Force Hotel onwards towards Middleton-in-Teesdale, there will be tourists walking along the road with even less sense than sheep.

Bring it on... 😊😊😊😊😊

If it's like last year it will be fine as you won't see the walkers in the fogπŸ˜‚

So you're going to make it to Middleton before last orders today ShazπŸ€”.. 🀣🀣🀣

Shaz, does that mean you're going to try and better last years epic lateness? If I remember rightly you missed Friday night entirely and eventually caught up with us at Hermitage Castle on the Saturday 🀭

But yes, good idea of yours (treasure it, its an only child).
Besides bladder breaks and fuel stops it also allows people to drop off for photo stops etc if they want to.
Although knowing you I suspect its something to do with speed limits πŸ˜†

I'll PM all attendees the proposed route later today (because only attendees need to know).

and your memory serves you well , i was so late i did completely miss Friday altogether lol, so right now as of 2.33 pm i am running around getting packed then quick shower then time to get on the road , day light hear i come lol

It seems another epic adventure is about to conclude as we are soon to depart Middleton, apart from Steve H and Neil B of course who have the good fortune to live hereπŸ‘

Safe travels to all today and massive thanks to Steve H for 300miles + of amazing rides (as always) and tremendous scenery. If only I could bottle that cool fresh air on the tops of the Dales and take it home πŸ˜”

Roll on MoffatπŸοΈπŸ‘

Thanks Steve for taking us on some great road over the weekend. Thankfully I didn't eat cake at every stop, because my bike wouldn't have carried me home.
Thanks also to the lovely Susi😍, for the lovely roads she took me on for half the ride up to Tessdale from Squires. And I'm sure I would have enjoyed the second half of the journey too. However I did enjoy my sole ride for that bit. πŸ˜‚
And thanks again to everyone else for the great company πŸ‘
