Kinda puzzled me that one

I suppose it might just have been an an early form of torment/temptation

A pub with no beer

Maybe to encourage folk to go next door and "PRAY"

That they hadn't run out of communion wine

Yeah I know it's chronologically inaccurate but it's still a funny thought
