Hey XJ...only just got back online....I had this problem years ago with my 900.....Had to order a genuine bearing from Yam...and it wasn't particularly cheap...No other way around it that i found after several weeks of trawling the internet...Thumbs Down

cheers toots. cleaned the old un and put it back in. the bearing wasn't worn but wanted to know if anyone had any ideas about an alternative supply.  xj (not me fool) is currently on ebay and will be sold by sunday so it won't become a problem in the future either.

Just a quick note here Wink   Not everything is available on the internet Ermm   A bearing specialist often wont bother with a website Approve   Always worth a "personal" visit (with the bearing where possible) Thumbs Up   You'd be amazed what can be sourced by "professionals" Geek

Did try a few bearing 'specialists'....but no joy cos of the stupid shoulder on the inner race...couldn't source a standard bearing and use a spacer either....all a moot point as xj is selling the vike...

Toots, my comment was more of a general reminder for folks Wink   Not to forget that "specialist" industrial/commercial suppliers Thumbs Up   Often have access to components that are not generally for sale to the public Ermm   But as the economy is stalling, they are much more inclined to help Approve   If it means making a sale Thumbs Up   So a visit to the "trade" counter is always worth a try Big smile
