Anyone fancy Download Rock Festival at Donnington this June? Thought it might be a nice way to meet and get in some rock, beers and camping

Sounds like a good idea Cally. I won't be able to attend due to other committments but if a few people show an interest in the idea you can submit it to the event calendar and see about arranging a BM meet up at the event. If you need a hand with that feel free to pm me or any of the event team.

Got to be good! Gutted that sonisphere is cancelled this year (its just down the road) but it would be great to get a few BMers together at DL. Nothing breaks the ice like camping with a hangover!                                                                                                                                                                              

  I've just been on their website, to get info to put on the calendar and it's confusing. It states the dates as 6th - 11th AND 8th -10th June. If someone can give me the correct dates I can add it to the calendar.   There's lots of info about tickets and age groups and camping. Some camping areas have sold out, so I strongly advise a look see for yourself and if you really want to go get booking NOW.    P.S. Hi Sandi, the festival is open from lunchtime on wed the 6th but bands don't start proper until Fri 8th. Before then its just drinking and socialising in a field!                                                                                                                                                                              

I'll be down there from Wednesday in the RIP camping bit. My fav week of the year. Maybe we can have a meet up.

Wow, I'd love to go,  but doing Hellfest in France the Thursday after,  so don't think I'd be popular !!  The poster looks remarkably similar for the two !

Wooki69 - at the bar in the main village on Thursday. 3pm ish - there is usually a bar on right hand side as you come out of camping areas with loads of tables outside (and drunken metal heads!).
