Hi , I will stand to be corrected on this one but i had a similar problem with a little 125 i had in that the battery was not getting charged and the electrical system becomes a total loss system ie it totally drains the power and gets to the point where there was not enough power for a spark ! so i would take a look to see if the battery is ok ? hope this helps , good luck , kev

Spark plug may look ok, but are you getting a decent spark from it?
May have to take plug out, and earth it on the frame - try starting the bike and see if it gives a decent spark.

Battery finally nearly flat with tryig toget it started, filled engine oil up/battery charging. Will try the spark plug thing tomorrow and then go from there. Thanks guys your stars for your suggestions, so want to go for a ride.

Take out the spark plug and leave it out for at least 30 mins with the bike in the warm as it will be flooded and will not start

Hi Justme
Have a look at the fuel filter. It could be not enough fuel getting thru or your the breather pipe is blocked. Or it could be a HT lead breaking down when it get hot
Holmfirthgirl
is the fuel tap on Reserve instead of main tank?

My Triumph did the exact same thing last week, that was a split vacuum hose from the carburettors to the fuel tank-if the hose splits the pipe doesn't hold pressure, then no fuel gets to the carbs
