I thought it might be worth posting this for all the newbies, or anybody else that has decided 2024 would be a good year to get out on the bike.
When you look at the events page you will see a lot of bike related things happening throughout the country.
The majority of these events are organised by other parties, the events page is just listing them, but every year there are a few events organised by BikerMatch volunteers for BikerMatch members.
If any of them float your boat put your name down and go. You will be made welcome so don’t worry about turning up on your own. If you have any questions just fire a message off to the organiser.
The three in the calendar so far this year are:
May 3 - 6. May Be Easter (Teesdale).
June 7 - 9. Fink's South Wales Camp.
July 25 - 29. Wiltshire Weekend Camp.
Over to you, it is the start of summer (allegedly) and the biking season has begun.

Thanks for that 'H' it's good to know that someone is organising events. Some of the big rallys are a little too big for me to turn up on my own and feel comfortable. I'm finding a lot of bikers I know are hanging up their bike boots so its difficult to rally any of them together these days 😮😄

There are more sociable BM events to come this year, for those not wanting the crowds of a full bike rally, particularly the September Santa shenanigans 😂
Those wanting to look ahead to 2025 need look no further than Easter in Teesdale 🏍️👍

Hiya Zoe, Destroyer of Hedges, Finder of Ditches 🤣, good to see your still out there and paying attention.
I can't be bothered with big rallies these days either and most of my old crowd have settled down to campervandom, but I do still like the biking, camping, drinking and talking cobblers stuff. BikerMatch let's me scratch that itch.
There are only two BM organised things left in the calendar this year; Barmouth (crap campsite but good pub and some fantastic roads) and Lower Lode (good campsite, good pub but the riding ain't so good).
As they are BM only things you need not fret about turning up on your own.
If your coming to either let me know and we can ride down together provided you can stand the ignominy of riding down with a scooter 🙂

Idea for Newbs (me included): meet up en route and form the Virgin Convoy. The organisation and getting to the given event will break the ice for us and guys and gals together we'll be old mates by the time we pitch up at the event.
By the way, I'm volunteering to organise a North West convoy if/ when the right event comes up.
Cheers, Aurelio.

As a newbie to BM events I went to Wiltshire weekend camp and received a warm welcome even though I didn't know anyone and had a good weekend. Thank you too all of you! I will be out again possibly Lower Lode.

used to arrange to meet up with local folk via the chatroom or posting on the forums if anyone fancies meeting up at a local bike cafe or something....that's another good way of making new riding buddies and having larfs.....
used to have good times 🌟💯

Try the Bikers Guide Wales page, I can see a meet at Colwyn Bay twice a week and various biker friendly cafes in your area 👍

Hi everyone. Im up for a run up to Scotland. Went up last year on my own, be nice to have some riding buddies. Although ill be roughing it in a tent somewhere rather than having the comforts of the Hotel….spend my last pennies keeping the Rat running as the priority!
