Well it's wet and miserable out there so time to think about next year.
What you fancy folks?
A week in Scotland obviously, but rather than basing ourselves at Fort Gus for the week how about a tour? Not moving every day though. Places that have hotels, b&b's and camping to keep everyone happy.
I'm attempted by the south west of Ireland, but as this will involve planning (ferries, booking accommodation, travel insurance) it will require a little moderately commitment.
Anyone interested?

Be interested in a Scotland tour depending on the dates ??

It's our summer holibags Steve, of course we want to tour Scotland! Like the idea of moving on every couple of days with a set itinerary but freedom to choose and book our own accommodation.
Also like idea of Ireland, but then I also fancy France and lots of other places too.

Good thing we got 52 weeks in the year then :-)

Another Matlock Mayhem....that was a good day. End of April 'ish Sure someone has something to celebrate ? I'm sure I spoke to someone at KISS who has a special birthday next year, but too much Guinness prevented me from remembering who it was.
Resurrect Pick up a Pilly Day.................... I preferred Ollerton near Nottingham to the Cat and Fiddle. Much more room.

Aj pick up a pilly day is on in 2016 around April time.

A tour with tents is ok if the weather is dry. Otherwise it has to be b&b.
B&b needs advance booking to guarantee a place.
B&b is not very sociable.
I do enjoy a natter around the bbq/campfire.
Mmm.
Book b&b. Cry if it's sunny.
book camping. Cry if it rains.
mmm difficult.
B&b proper tour. Move on each day after breakfast. 09:00. 4- 5 hour ride plus a bit of sightseeing. . ... Nice hot shower plus pub for dinner .
Comfy bed for a kip and repeat.
Sounds good to me.

We've not decided exactly what we're doing yet, but I'd certainly go B&B when touring Scotland, even in summer, and do the socialising in the pub.
Why? It's either wet or dry.
If it's wet camping sucks and a warm shower, warm bed, and space to dry the bike gear is a major win.
If it's dry the midges come out, but not on the B&B, win again.
havfun
