I'm wondering if any other local newspapers' websites provide a service like this. http://www.nottinghampost.com/motorcycling-news   I remember that the now-defunct Liverpool Daily Post used to have a regular motorcycling feature.

Good spot, SPESH.

Well sort of, I've helped sponsor him in the past. So we get regular updates on his Facebook page. Also the Lichfield chronicle has back page updates on Gary Mason a local lad. I'm sure many people now his name by now lol

Eek, I've been outed. I wrote the motorcycling column for the much-missed Liverpool Daily Post and its Welsh twin for many years - glad to know that at least one person read itThumbs Up
In regional newspapers operating on tight budgets, a motorcycling column depends very much on whether a member of the editorial staff is a biker - or motorcyclist of you prefer - and is prepared to take it on. Just about every paper has its motoring correspondent and they often include a few bits and pieces of biking news, but if they don't ride a bike themselves they'll be found out very quickly.
The Nottingham website shows what can be done, and more ppower to its elbow!

ClapT'was you, then, was it Wills? The one who wrote about a fellow biker putting two fingers up to speed cameras in Derbyshire because they were facing the wrong way to pick up the registration number?   You ought to be strung up, you journos. It's the only language you understand.Clap

I found this on the “Angry People in Local Newspapers” site. http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/9471775.Police_...?ref=mmnsp   The photograph makes no sense at all, as it appears to have nothing to do with the subject matter. It’s the fact that the pic has been cropped too much that makes it look nonsensically incongruous; the Councillor is kneeling next to tyre tracks in the mud. Here's another version-   http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/9471887.Police_...orcycling/

Our local paper like most are quick to print about  speeding bikers and fatal accidents but when it comes to bikers raising money for charity they don't want to know
