wouldnt touch em with a barge pole!!! the helmet is cheap and nasty and as we actually tried one on they fit horrible and are so uncomfortable.and the gloves are not real good quality either ok as a summer glove/stop gap but wouldnt want to have an off in either not even a slow speed off.i just dont trust cheap lids etc Unhappy

I agree with zzr. I tried one of their helmets on, very poor fit, very uncomfortable, very cheep for a reason. I wouldn't trust them to protect my head. My advice is STAY AWAY. Spend extra as your head and life are worth it.

Don't know what you're all complaining about Confused   I've been wearing a Lidl helmet for 4 years now Approve   I'll be buying another this Thursday as the 2nd visor is now showing signs of age Wink   I must have a very different head to you lot Wacko   These helmets undergo "rigorous" testing under a "stringent" regime Thumbs Up   Otherwise they wouldn't get TUV approval Wink   Each to their own I suppose Ermm   But my 50 years worth of experience ... (some of it in the motorcycle trade)   Tells me that I'm as safe in one these as a helmet with a 3  figure price tag Smile   Just because it's "discounted" doesn't mean that it's inferior Disapprove

At the end of the day people will pay for what they want. If the want cheap and cheerful they will opt for the also specials, on the other hand, some people may want something a bit more unique and will go for a custom one off job from one of the top brands. When it all boils down, if it has a British safety standard kite mark , BS6658:1985, it will do the job it was intended to do.

Catch 22, Helmets are usually expensive and in theory ) so im informed) valid for 3/4 years then replaced. They should be replaced after any kind of heavy knock or off.
Would I pay £300 to £1000 for a helmet ....if I could afford it yes.
But I've used cheaper brands for 4 yrs without any issues and will carry on using em.

If you want to pay mega bucks for a designer label, more fool you.

The most effective protection you can get, money can't buy Approve   It's between your ears Wink

Totally agree with you Emzed.
Also, at the end of the day as long as it fits correctly & feels comfortable to wear, and of course carries the relevent testing standard marks, then it`ll be good enough for the job.

If you`re wearing an uncomfortable lid which is loose & has poor vision through the visor aperature then you`re far more at risk of having an accident in the first place.

The reason Lidl helmets don't fit and are uncomfortable is very simple, you have not got the wrong size head for the helmet, try wearing a different size head
