Rumours were the Ace cafe wanted to buy it,it would be good for it to have an owner prepared to spend some time and money on it!

Is it not time we got a proper clubhouse?
Over 700 online just now so that's only just a tad over £200 each, much less if those that aren't online now also chip in.
Simples!!

I reckon Izzy has a point, why dont we float the idea out to the BM membership, lets face it, I'm sure we could put a manager in who is willing to keep it in good order, and if the other facilities where up to scratch then it could only go from strength to strength.
If we got rid of that idiotic ice rink that never gets used, it could be a venue for up and coming bands to hone their skills.
Although by my reckoning it would be about £2000 at 700 members.
If you had a band on every week from late spring through to early autumn, there could be camping for a very moderate fee and sales from food and drink would soon bring in a return on the investment.

1.6 Million for Squire's there having a laugh even if it went with all the land that is used for camping I dont think it will sell at that price. Any prosective buyer would need to spend the another £400,000 on a compleat refurb.
But if I win the lotto I would buy it just to sack jason

Im in! Its been a nightmare since harry stepped out n jasen is just a fool.

Refurb wouldnt be too much, if we used our talents, surely there are builders, plasterers, painters, flooring specialists, electricians, plumbers, amongst us! Also, promotions n advertising peeps as well as those with fingers in music scene and imagination and flair!! Ya never know those without employment might even fancy getting involved too.

Oooh the possibilities are endless ...

I would say that even i could run the place better than its currently being run!

@stuie, give leon a call see if he is interested in a northern venture, from what ive heard we could do a lot better with leon n jane!

Is the shop for sale too?

I reckon it should be a shop/garage/repairs/service centre

There should be a B&B attachment for those that want to stop over but can't camp ( I'm thinking anyone with ailments or on crutches etc ) Ermm

I would definitely re-instate the go-kart track.. only make it BIGGER and BETTER for big karts etc to play on.

And........I think the log fire should definitely be lit, when it's cold!  LOL

As long as it's still a biker venue I don't care who owns it.   The skating rink DOES get used, or it did when I used to visit, bleddy hated it when I was trying to have my sunday lunch in peace and there was music and racket going on inches away from us. However, some kids could be future bikers, and...most bikers have families so having leisure facilities for them makes sense, business wise.   Love the idea of the Go-Karts facility being started up again and being made bigger. Big smile   Also agree with having some form of indoor heating when it's cold weather. The radiators aren't on much and the log fire hasn't been used for years, to my knowledge.   My 'improvement' suggestions...   Take out the front windows and put in ones we can see out of, while sitting down, without having to have our necks stretched.   Dispose of chipped drinking vessels instead of re-using them, they're bacteria collectors!

Hahahah Sandi... I forgot about those stupid windows!!

They should have floor to ceiling glass windows, so we can keep and eye on what's occurrrrring Wink

Ohh..and double doors, so there's no waiting for people coming in/out and more toilets! and a helmet/jacket park for those hot summer days....and  some water jets for when it gets really hot WinkLOL
