Bid to Cut Deaths on Danger Roads   North Yorkshire Police will mount extra patrols at accident hazard areas in an attempt to reduce the number of deaths.   50 people have died do so far this year on the county’s roads.   Police have identified 32 stretches of roads as having unacceptable accident records and are to target those areas with tough enforcement.   There will be a zero tolerance policy to speeding and a fast-track scheme to process penalties, meaning drivers could lose licences in a week.

Does this mean we are likely to see more dead policemen?
