Late May Bank Holiday meet in Dumfriesshire - just across the border from Carlisle.
The campsite plays itself down as 'wild camping' as they do have some rather nice toilet/showering facilities and a shelter for cooking or simply just gathering in - just bring a torch with your gear. No vehicles in the camping field, but hardstanding in the yard nearby with barrows for moving your kit.
As campers and bikers themselves they know what we appreciate and provide firepits AND firewood, but mostly, being only 40 miles north of Carlisle with some great roads on the doorstep. If you've only ever scooted north to the Lochs and Glens you've been missing out.
Think it's £11 odd pppn and a coin for showers but we might negotiate a discount if numbers are good.
Regret no kids and no dogs - this is a working farm.
